In keeping with the gymnastics theme I have opted to continue with the Birthday posts here and keep my personal LiveJournal for life and that. We had a death in the family on Monday and were at the hospital from Thursday onwards so my Happy Birthdays start from the 17th:

• Chia-Ying Lin (TPE) turns 19 today- Was 95th in the All Around qualification at the 2005 World Championships.
• American Melinda Baimbridge was born on this day in 1983.
• France's Sabrina Kachroud was born in 1991 today.
• Liubov Sheremeta (1980) represented Ukraine. At the 1996 Olympics she was 22nd all around and at the Worlds that year was 3rd on floor and 4th on bars. In 1997 at the Lausanne World Championship Liubov was 6th all around, 7th on floor, and 4th on bars.

• Australia's own Ashleigh Brennan was born in 1991 and participated in the 2007 World Championships as a floor and beam specialist.
  
• Germany's Anja Brinker was born in the same year as Ash. At the 2007 Worlds she was 18th AA, 56th Beam, 33rd on floor and 12th on bars. She is a beautiful bars and floor worker.
  
• Portugal's Joak Viana was born on this day in 1981
• Ukraine's Yevgeniy Bogonsiuk was born in 1982.
• Mohamed Serour who was born in 1986 is/was an Egyptian representative.
• Croatian Marijo Moznik was born in 1987.
  
• Icelandic gymnast Harpa Snaedis Hauksdottir was born in 1989. I quite love her floor music from the 2004 Europeans.
  
• Anna Kovaleva (1983), was a member of the Russian team that came 2nd at the 1999 Tianjin World Championships and came 2nd on the beam.
  

• Sarah Shire (USA) was born on this day in 1988, whilst World Champions Svetlana Khorkina (RUS, 1979) and the 2007 Champion American Shawn Johnson (1992) also were born on the 19th.

• German Kim Bui (1989), was a member of the 2005 and 2006 World Championships and was a reserve for the 2007 Worlds. At the Stuttgart World Cup she was third on floor in 2007.
• American representative Sean Townsend was born on this day in 1979.
  
• Ireland's Wayne Healy was born in 1988.
• Australia's Steph Moorhouse is 21 today. Represented Australia at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, 2004 Olympics, Pacific Alliance, 2003 Worlds and Pacific Challenge, 2003 Glasgow Cup amongst other competitions.
  
• Moldova's Irina Donas is 18 today.

• Ukrainian Boris Shaklin was born on this day in 1932.
• Germany's Christian Berczes was born in 1981.
• Albanian Abeliana Bregu is 17 today.
  

• French teenager Alix Gabry is 17 today.
  
• Venezuela's Jessica Lopez was born in 1986. At the 2007 World Championships she was 78th all around, 166th on beam, 51st floor and 84th bars. She also competes for the University of Denver Pioneers NCAA Gymnastics team and has qualified as an individual to the 2008 Olympics.
• New Zealand's Belinda Castles is 21. She was a member of the team at the 2002 Commonwealth Games and the 2006 Commonwealth Games team which came 7th, Belinda was 15th in the all around that year and was 8th on bars. At the 2005 Worlds she was 42nd and 31st in the all around at the World Uni Games the same year.
• Romanian Ecaterina Szabo was born in 1967. She was inducted in the International Gymnatics Hall of Fame in 2oo0, she was a multiple World and Olympic medalist.
