Artistic World Series 2011

6:41 PM

Following a new format, the 2011 FIG World Cup Series in Artistic Gymnastics includes six World Cups (A category) and six Challenger Cup competitions (B category) over the period of one year. With the exception of Paris and Moscow, which are hosting Individual Apparatus Finals, all World Cups feature Men’s and Women’s All-around competitions, while all Challenger Cups stage Individual Apparatus Finals.

Separate World Ranking lists will be established for World Cups and Challenger Cups as well as for Individual Apparatus (6 for Men and 4 for Women) and All-around competitions (Men and Women one each). For the latter, with the ultimate World Cup event being held in Tokyo, the best three results per gymnast count for the total ranking and the top scorers will be crowned the winners of the overall series. However, since in 2011 only two tournaments of the CIII category will be held, the Cups will go to the top scorer of each category, adding up the results of Paris and Moscow.
