Event Final Results from Milan

6:43 AM

I am officially happy with how these event finals have gone. Super congrats especially to Kaeslin and Tweddle - 2 very amazing gymnasts. Demyanchuk has come through for the Ukrainian team, but am sad for Koval and Holenkova's disappointment on bars and felt terrible for Becky Downie who was quite clearly disappointed with her bar routine. Forminte ended up going to the head jury after Izbasa's floor routine. I feel so sad for her and yes she seems to have lost some of her motivation to compete, but I do hope she rediscovers that spark as she is such a beautiful gymnast. I am very intrigued and surprised with Ana Maria Izurieta and I hope she goes far. Beth Tweddle was superior in floor tonight and I can't take anything away from her but as one of Semyonova's biggest fans I do so think she deserved a higher score her routine was executed most beautifully. My heart goes out to sentimental favourite Igor Cassina, falling twice on his pet event. Huge yay for Eleftherios Kosmidis who tied for bronze with another favourite of mine Shatilov. All in all it was an okay Europeans for the women, full of happiness,, surprises, sadness and a lot of falls and mistakes. I apologise for any spelling mistakes, it is almost 1am here and I believe I may be slightly jetlagged from flying with my gymnastics girls for a small invitational to be held next weekend. They are 5 girls in Australian level six and in my very biased opinion are great! Unfortunately where I live it is rare for girls to go pass Level 3, mostly due to lack of skilled coaching staff - it is only since I started with the program that this is changed so hopefully they do well. Anyways will keep you posted. Am working on some what I hope you think are exciting projects that I'll unveil when I'm more awake. Am off to find a soft pillow.

Night dear readers.

P.S. Thought I'd check the latest news articles - the article on Beth Tweddle on IG! actually brought tears to my eyes. She is definitely an inspiration to us all and another is Kaeslin - Swiss fans will be celebrating.
