Maribor World Cup - Day 1 Event Finals

The first day of event finals at the 2012 Maribor World Cup have been completed. Slovenia's own Teja Belak won the Vault title over Hungarian Dorina Boczogo and Croatian Tijana Tkalcec. Dutch starlet Celine Van Gerner won the Uneven Bars title with Poland's Marta Pihan-Kulesza and Argentinian Valeria Pereyra rounding out the top three. Finland's Petrus Laulumaa replaced Dutchman Jeffrey Wammes in the Floor Exercise final, which was won by Puerto Rico's Rafael Morales-Casado with Ukraine's Oleksandr Suprun in second and Brazilian Renato Nascimento de Oliveira in third. In an absolute surprise upset, Australian Prashanth Sellathurai has won the Pommel Horse title over Britain's Louis Smith and Hungarian Krisztian Berki. Arthur Nabarrete Zanetti of Brazil won the Still Rings with Puerto Rican Tommy Ramos and Argentinian Federico Molinari rounding out the top three.
