Lauren Mitchell was named the winner of the Winter-Strickland Medal at the ANZ Sport Star Awards which were held at the Crown Perth last night. The Winter-Strickland Medal is awarded to the most outstanding Western Australian at the Olympics. Western Australian Institute of Sport coaches Martine George and Nikolai Lapchine were named the recipients of the KPMG Coach of the Year Award.
