Springfield tops Rhode Island College

Springfield College won this afternoon over Rhode Island College at Blake Arena. Springfield Junior Marissa DeAngelo had a fantastic competition winning the All Around and taking out all four event titles (sharing the Vault title with Freshman team mate Heather Gomes). In a positive for Rhode Island College, their team total is the highest score in a Season-opening meet since 2002-3. RIC Sophomore Courtney Osborn lead the Anchorwomen as she finished third in the All Around, third on Floor, fourth on the Uneven  Bars and fifth on the Balance Beam. Springfield's Jessica Clemens and Rhode Island's Allie DiBiase, Miranda Murphy, Beth Kaestner, Alexis DaFonseca all made their Freshmen debuts as well as Springfield Sophomore Lauren White who did not compete last season.
