Results from Finals in Baku

The AGF Trophy World Challenge Cup came to an end in Baku, Azerbaijan with the final day on the 21st seeing all the event finals contested. Uzbekistan's Oksana Chusovitina won the Vault title over Slovenian Tjasa Kysselef and Austrian Lisa Ecker. Germany's Lina Philipp was the top scorer on the Uneven Bars with Brazilian's Daniele Matias Hypolito and Flavia Lopes Saraiva. Uzbekistan's Dilnoza Abdusalimova came in to replace Germany's Florine Harder who withdrew after falling and injuring her thumb during training on the Uneven Bars. Lopes Saraiva also won the Balance Beam title with Sweden's Emma Larsson and Austria's Elisa Haemmerle finishing in second and third respectively. Haemmerle was originally the first reserve for the final but came in to replace Harder. Flavia Lopes Saraiva won another title, this time triumphing on the Floor Exercise over Larsson. Azerbaijan's Marina Nekrasova won the bronze. Second reserve Uzbekistan Dilnoza Abdusalimova came into the field which only boasted seven gymnasts after both Harder and Chusovitina withdrew.

It was the Kenzo Shirai show on the Floor Exercise as he dominated over Slovenia's Rok Klavora and Israel's Alexander Shatilov, whilst on the Pommel Horse Japan's Tomomasa Hasegawa top scored over Belgian Maxime Gentges and Iran's Saeed Reza Keikha. First and second reserves Kazuma Kaya of Japan and Moran Yanuka of Israel came into the Still Rings final to replace Canadian Kevin Lytwyn and Spain's Ruben Lopez - Turkey's Ibrahim Colak took the title over Kaya and Azerbaijan's Oleg Stepko. Shirai added the Vault title to his name. Stepko and Turkey's Ahmet Onder rounded out the top three. Stepko triumphed on the Parallel Bars over Turkey's Ferhat Arican and Kaya with Hasegawa adding the Horizontal Bar title to his name. Ahmet Onder of Turkey and Tin Srbic of Croatia were second and third respectively.
