2016 European Championships - Junior Men's Event Finals

6:31 PM

And last but not least we had the 2016 European Championships Junior Men's Event Finals from the PostFinance Arena in Bern, Switzerland. Unlike the Senior Finals, the Junior Event Finals competition saw two apparatus finals being contested alternatively at the same time with the first four Gymnasts competing and the next four having a one touch warm up before the competition resumes. Great Britain's Giarnni Regini-Moran added the Floor Exercise title to his impressive resume with a convincing win over Russian Andrei Makolov with Hungary's Krisztian Boncser rounding out the top three. Ireland's Rhys McClenaghan became Ireland's first European silver medalist taking out the second place on the Pommel Horse behind Russia's Sergei Naidin with Great Britain's Joe Fraser placing third. Germany's Nick Klessing won the Still Rings title by 0.058 points over Armenia's Artur Avetisyan with Ildar Iuskaev in third. Makolov took the Vault title over Regini-Moran and Ukraine's Maksym Ivanov whilst on the Parallel Bars Great Britain's Fraser and Regini-Moran went one-two respectively with Eduard Yermakov of Ukraine rounding out the medals. Makolov added the Horizontal Bars honors with Switzerland's Moreno Kratter and Fraser tying for second.
