Gymmin' Miel!

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater came out on top of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at the Kolf Sports Center in Oshkosh last night. UW-Whitewater Freshman Katie Fiorilli had a fantastic competition taking out the All Around and Vault honors, whilst team mate and fellow Freshman Courtney Pickett took out the Floor Exercise title. Oshkosh Sophomore Krystal Walker and Junior Leane Blais picked up the Balance Beam and Uneven Bars titles respectively.

The Winona State University Warriors hosted their Think Pink Meet on Thursday night in the McCown Gymnasium against the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Winona State was too good for the UW-Oshkosh team, taking the team title and all the Individual honors that were on offer. Sophomore Jade Donaldson earned the high score on Vault and also picked up the All Around title. Junior Brooke Baures won the Uneven Bars and Balance Beam honors with Freshman Veronica Peterson taking out the honors on the Floor Exercise. Junior Leane Blais, Sophomores Elizabeth Kiel and Krystal Walker and Freshman Taylor Ennocenti were standout performers for UW-Oshkosh.

The Women's Collegiate Gymnastics season is underway, with five meets taking place over the course of this weekend. The first of these was held at the Kolf Sports Center where the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh hosted the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. UW-La Crosse won the season opener, with La Crosse Freshman Kari Willett earning the Vault and Balance Beam titles. Oshkosh Sophomore Krystal Walker was the only gymnast to compete on all four events with fellow Oshkosh gymnast Steffani Meusburger (Senior) earning the high score on the Uneven Bars. Ali Berry, a Sophomore on the La Crosse team was the top scorer on the Floor Exercise.
