Gym Stuff?

5:18 AM

Hello my pets, Keisha reporting in for duty. Apologies for the non-posts - work has been keeping me busy. Oh and I have just discovered the tv show Dexter and I believe I have 2 whole seasons to get through! So much gym news to get through:

Starting with the announcement that the Romanian team for the Olympics will be announced at the end of June. According to an article that I read - I am multilingual (thanks parentals) there are only 12 girls in the running for the 6 positions on the squad for Beijing, Apparently at the recent camp in Deva as you can see in attendance (from the order of the picture I think) are: Sandra Izbasa, Alina Stanculescu, Madalina Gutu, Aluissa Lacusteanu, Steliana Nistor, Andreea Palade, Andreea Acatrinei, Gabriela Dragoi, Cerasela Patrascu, Andreea Grigore, Ana Maria Tamarjan and Daniela Druncea. Notedly missing - one Alexandra Ghita - say it isn't so!

Off topic Australia's diving squad for the Beijing Olympics was named the other day and includes:

  • Bree Cole - Synchro 10m platform, synchro 3m springboard

  • ALEX CROAK - 10m platform

  • Matthew Helm - 10m platform, synchro 10m platform

  • Matthew Mitcham - 10m platform, 3m springboard

  • Chantelle Newberry - 3m springboard

  • Robert Newberry - 3m springboard, synchro 10m platform, synchro 3m springboard

  • Scott Robertson - Synchro 3m springboard

  • Sharleen Stratton - 3m Springboard, synchro 3m springboard

  • Melissa Wu - 10m platform, Synchro 10m platform

You can read an article at this link, and another from FoxSports.
