Round up of National Championships last weekend
7:20 PMFRENCH CHAMPIONSHIPS WAG/MAG/RG:
Full results can be found here. But Marine Petit, the current star of the French team took out the women's all around, followed by Rose Eliandre Bellemare and Youna Dufournet. Great to see Pauline Morel back competing too. I am yet to see footage but I hear there were some amazing performances. Congratulations also go to MAG AA Champion Benoit Caranobe and RG AA Champion Delphine LeDoux. For the MAG Competition, Yann Cucherat took out the PB title with a 15.450 as well as the High Bar title with a 15.400, Danny Pinheiro-Rodrigues took out Still Rings (15.700), Pierre Yves Beny took out Pommel Horse with a 15.700 and Thomas Bouhail took out the honour on floor with 15.050 and vault with 16.350. For the women the individual event honours went to Magaly Hars on vault (14.175), Youna Dufournet on uneven bars (14.950), and Marine Petit took out the floor title with a 14.050. Junior Mira Boumejmajen took out balance beam with a 13.500. For RG Delphine LeDoux took out the ball with a 24.700, hoop 26.225, and rope with a 26.150.
WOMEN'S AA:
Giulia Gemme and Lia Parolari did not compete at this event. Vanessa Ferrari had a great competition not only taking out the AA title, but also uneven bars with a 14.450 over Andrea Foti (14.275) and Erika Fasana (14.250); and the floor title with a 14.600 over Emily Armi (13.875) and Carlotta Ferlito (13.825) Erika Fasana won the vault title with a 14.013 over Andrea La Spada (13.925) and Carlotta Ferlito (13.513); whilst Elisabetta Preziosa won a closely contested beam final with a 14.425 over Ferrari (14.325), Foti (14.125) and Ferlito (14.025). For the men's event finals: Enrico Pozzo took out floor with a 15.175 over Paolo Ottavi and Paolo Principi (both scored14.425); Alberto took out pommel horse with 15.225 over Pozzo (14.100) and Lorenzo Ticchi (14.025); Matteo Morandi won still rings with 15.475, 0.1 of a point over Matteo Anglioletti with Andrea Coppolino rounding out the top 3 after he scored 15.100; Anglioletti won vault with a massive 15.988, with Andrea Cingolani coming second with 15.088 and Principi came third with 14.825; Morandi also took out parallel bars (15.000) over Alessandro Di Quinzio (14.575) and Ottavi (14.325) and High Bar was won by the great Igor Cassina who scored 15.400 to win over Pozzo (15.175) and Busnari (14.725)
SENIOR MAG:
Full results can be found here, including those from all disciplines. In turns of the MAG AA final Bjorn Slanvall scored 82.700 taking the honour over George Foo (80.750) and Mans Stenberg (79.850). Slanvall also took out the floor, parallel bars and high bar event finals, while George Foo took out pommel horse and still rings whilst Mans Stenberg took out vault. For the women Lina Sjoberg took out vault with 13.575, while Alexandra Ohlsson took out bars with the remaining two titles going to Ida Jonsson
