West Australian article on States

9:36 PM

I apologise for the lack of postings lately... I was busy going over to the eastern Australia states to watch the Dockers win with my sister who is an absolute fanatic. On arriving home this morning, I bring you this....

The West Australian: Monday 21st June, 2010. page 56:
MITCHELL BACK ON TRACK
Lauren Mitchell has hit the competition floor for the first time in eight months since winning two silver medals at the world championships in London last year.
The 18-year-old had her first competitive outing at the State Championships at Challenge Stadium over the weekend, claiming the senior title as part of her preparation for next month's Commonwealth Games selection trials in Perth.
Mitchell, who has had a broken hand and an ankle injury in the past eight months, completed a full program.
Her scoring was below her usual level, but coaching staff are confident she will be ready for the Games trials starting on July 5.
The rhythmic title went to NSW Olympian Naazmi Johnston, but the domestic honour went to Janine Murray, a strong candidate to join Johnston in the team for India in October

I will bringing you coverage of the results once they are released by the Western Australian Gymnastics Association. Congratulations to all involved with this competition.
