Day One Event Finals at Sr Asian Artistic Champs

The first day of event finals for the 5th Senior Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held  yesterday in Putian, China. Women's Vault and Uneven Bars as well as Men's Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse were contested. Vietnam's PHAN Thi Ha Thanh won the Vault title over the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's HONG Un Jong and RI Un Ha who were second and third respectively. HONG Un Jong withdrew from the Uneven Bars final but was not replaced, whilst the title went to China's WU Liufang who won over her compatriot HUANG Huidan and SUNG Ji Hye of the Republic of Korea. 

The Men's Floor Exercise final went to Japan's Shirai Kenzo who won over the Republic of Korea's KIM Hansol and LEE Junho. China's LIU Rongbing was top on the Pommel Horse with compatriot JI Lianshen and Japan's Yoshiaki Furutani sharing the silver medal. On the Still Rings, RI Se Gwang (PRK) won gold over China's YANG Shengchao, with Hong Kong's Kiu Chung Ng and Chinese Taipei's Chih-Yu Chen shared the bronze medal.
