Dieringer Takes 2 Titles as NCGA Champs Conclude

It was another successful day for gymnasts from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater as two gymnasts took individual event honors on the final day of competition at the 2014 NCGA National Championships. UW-Whitewater Freshman Courtney Pickett won the Vault title over SUNY-Cortland Junior Elise Konikoff and fellow UW-Whitewater Freshman Katie Fiorilli who tied for second place. UW-Whitewater Senior Allyse Dieringer took out both the Uneven Bars and Balance Beam honors. On the Uneven Bars Pickett finished second over SUNY-Brockport Junior Stephanie Schuler. Schuler finished second on the Balance Beam with Michaela McCamey-Metropulos, a Senior on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire team finishing in third. Kambria Blakely, a Senior from Hamline University won the Floor Exercise title over SUNY-Cortland Senior Courtney Mangini. Hamline Senior Courtney Benson took out third place and was also named the NCGA Outstanding Senior Athlete for 2014. UW-Whitewater Coach Jennifer Regan was named the 2014 NCGA Coach of the Year.

RESULTS:
 TOP 6 FINISHERS IN EACH EVENT PLUS TIES EARN NCGA FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICA HONORS. FINISHERS IN 7TH THROUGH TO 12TH PLUS TIES EARN NCGA SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICA HONORS.
