Day Two Event Finals in Doha

The second day of Event Finals at the 2016 Doha Challenge World Cup event were held on the Saturday at the Aspire Dome in Doha, Qatar. Romanian Catalina Ponor and Giulia Steingruber of Switzerland were the top qualifiers to the Balance Beam and Floor Exercise respectively. China's HUANG Mingqi was the top qualifier to the Vault final over Armenia's Artur Davtyan whilst on the Parallel Bars HE Youxiao of China outclassed the field to take the top qualification spot. Japan's Fuya Maeno is the highest qualifier to the Horizontal Bar Final. Ponor dominated on the Balance Beam with an extremely solid routine. Brazil's Thauany Lee de Araujo took the silver medal over Portugal's Ana Filipa Martins. Steingruber won the Floor Exercise title by 0.575 points over Romania's Diana Laura Bulimar with Hungary's Zsofia Kovacs rounding out the top three. China's HUANG Mingi produced another two solid and beautifully executed Vaults to take the honors. In his first World Cup assignment, Australia's Christopher Remkes took the silver over Brazil's Diego Hypolito. Azerbaijan's Oleg Stepko earned the Parallel Bars title over Cuba's Manrique Larduet Bicet with Vietnam's PHAM Phuoc Hung. Maeno narrowly earned the Horizontal Bar over Great Britain's Ashley Watson. Croatia's Marijo Moznik finished in third.
