Lindenwood Recaptures USA Gymnastics Team Title

Lindenwood University won their second consecutive USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate National Gymnastics Championships Team Title on Saturday at the Hyland Arena on the Lindenwood University campus. In front of their home crowd, the Lady Lions earned a team score of 195.875 to break their previously set school record by 0.075 (the old mark was 195.800). The University of Bridgeport finished second with a new season high of 195.800. Seattle Pacific University finished third and broke their program record for the second-straight day and also set a new team record on the Vault lead by Sophomore Ariana Harger who set a new Individual Program record on the Vault with a 9.900. Harger and Lindenwood Senior Valeri Ingui were the top scorers on the Vault, whilst Lindenwood Junior Aubree Horn earned the top mark on the Uneven Bars. Lady Lions Senior Alicia Floyd earned the high of 9.900 on the Balance Beam whilst Bridgeport Junior Brianna Comport posted the top score on the Floor Exercise with a 9.950.
