The FIG announced this weekend that the 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships will be held in Nanning, China. This will be the second time in which China will host the prestigious event on the Gymnastics calendar, the first time was back in 1999 when it was held in Tianjin. The event in scheduled to take place from the 3rd to the 12th of October at Guangxi Sports Center Gymnasium in the capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Southern China. In the wake of this announcement, I thought we'd look at where we are headed in the coming years:
2013:
- Rhythmic Gymnastics: Kiev, Ukraine - 14th to 24th September
- Artistic Gymnastics: Antwerp, Belgium - 25th September to 7th October
- Trampoline Gymnastics: Varna, Bulgaria - 7th to 10th November
2014:
- Rhythmic Gymnastics: Izmur, Turkey
- Artistic Gymnastics: Nanning, China - 3rd to 12th October
- Trampoline Gymnastics:
2015:
- Rhythmic Gymnastics: Stuttgart, Germany - 7th to 13th September
- Artistic Gymnastics: Glasgow, Great Britain - 24th October to 1st November
- Trampoline Gymnastics: Odense, Denmark - 1st to 5th December; World Age Group Championships - 25th to 28th November
