“You never really know what’s going to happen when you get up there,” she said. “I’ve been in the sport 13 years. I’m still learning new skills.”
This year, Poliaroush said he looks for Savannah Vinsant to have a good time at the Olympics and get a good feel for the level of competition. Four years from now, he says he expects her to compete for an Olympic medal.
Savannah Vinsant won all three of the Olympic qualifying meets. She will join Steven Gluckstein of Atlantic Highlands, N.J., representing Team USA.
“The Olympic Games is one of the most unpredictable events in the world, and anything can happen,” Savannah Vinsant said.
“I’m going to go to London and give it everything I have. You never know.”
